However, if the humidity of the processed raw materials is too high, the working efficiency of the wood crusher will drop significantly, which will naturally lead to a decline in output. So, to avoid affecting the efficiency and yield of the wood crusher, what should we do with these high-humidity raw materials?
First of all, we need to know that waste wood with humidity exceeding 16% is considered high-humidity raw material. Normally, such raw materials should not be processed by wood crushers for a long time. This is because high humidity not only impairs the equipment’s efficiency and output, but also causes the internal components of the wood crusher to rust after prolonged contact with the raw materials. Once the components rust, they cannot be restored and can only be replaced with new ones. Therefore, it is recommended not to crush high-humidity raw materials directly. Instead, you can first reduce their humidity through natural air-drying or sun exposure. If conditions permit, a dryer can also be used for drying treatment. Only after the humidity of the waste wood is reduced to an appropriate range should it be fed into the wood crusher for processing. This can effectively prevent the above problems from occurring.
