On August 26th, in the production workshop of Jilin Keta Energy Technology Co., Ltd. located in Shangying Town, Shulan, Jilin Province, pellet mills were running at high speed, and the produced biomass pellets were continuously transported to the storage area via conveyor belts.
In July 2024, the project settled in Chejiaman Village, Shangying Town, marking the first large-scale biomass pellet production in Jilin Province. Adopting the mode of “localized raw materials and green industrialization”, the project mass-produces high-quality biomass pellets.
Shangying Town is situated in the branch of the Zhangguangcai Range of the Changbai Mountains, boasting abundant surrounding forestry resources. By recycling local crop straw and forestry residues, the project converts idle “waste” into clean energy. Equipped with an integrated wood pellet production line, it achieves an annual output of 30,000 tons of biomass pellets. The first phase of the project is expected to yield an output value of over 20 million yuan, significantly boosting the total industrial economic volume of the region.
As a type of clean energy, biomass pellets feature high calorific value and low pollution, enjoying broad market prospects. The implementation of the project not only brings economic benefits but also helps more than 20 villagers secure jobs “at their doorsteps”. It further extends the value of the rural industry and explores a win-win path of “ecological benefits plus economic benefits” for the rural revitalization of Shangying Town.
